This tour is an invitation to travel back in time and discover the origins of the Atacameño Culture. Along with exploring the impressive landscapes of the desert, this experience allows you to learn about the history of those who inhabited these lands thousands of years ago.

You will visit two fundamental archaeological sites that reveal the life, traditions, and struggles of the Atacameño people:

Tulor Village

  • One of the earliest human settlements in the Atacama Salt Flat basin.
  • Preserved for centuries under the sand.
  • A reflection of the community life of the ancient Atacameños.

Pucará de Quitor

  • Indigenous fortress built during times of conflict between communities.
  • Scene of resistance against the arrival of the Spanish.
  • Includes the Site Museum, with exhibits and historical explanations.

Quitor Viewpoint

  • Approximate trekking of 1 hour uphill and 30 minutes downhill.
  • Unique panoramic view of the valley and the fortress.
