Thanks to the unique conditions of the Atacama Desert, with low humidity and minimal light pollution, the ideal setting for astronomical observation is presented. The observatory is located just 6 km from the town of San Pedro de Atacama, ensuring almost imperceptible light pollution.

ACTIVITIES DURING THE ASTRONOMICAL TOUR
During the astronomical tour, specialized guides provide detailed explanations about the universe. Participants have the opportunity to observe, through high-quality telescopes, various celestial objects such as stars, binary stars, star clusters, nebulae, galaxies, planets, and the moon (depending on the date).
The azimuthal mount telescopes allow for a detailed view of these objects with great clarity and color, scanning the San Pedro de Atacama sky over an area of nearly 160°. This makes it possible to observe a vast number of stars and constellations.
The guides speak in a simple and educational manner, offering accessible explanations for everyone, regardless of their level of astronomical knowledge. Additionally, they are prepared to answer more specific questions. The Spanish-speaking guide (and english translator), Patricio, also provides an overview of Andean cosmovision, explaining how the indigenous peoples of Latin America interpreted the sky.

Acceptance of Activity Risks

The passenger declares to know and understand the risks involved in participating in adventure tourism activities, which cannot be completely eliminated, even when there is compliance with security standards accredited by the service provider, which are intended to decrease the risks that the development of this activity involves.
It will be the duty of the adventure tourism service provider to inform of the conditions and requirements for the development of the activity, as well as, it is the duty of the participants who take an adventure tourism service to adequately inform themselves of the conditions in which the service is provided, of the minimum conditions that the participant must have before carrying out the activity and abide by the instructions that the company and guide in charge of the activity indicate.
