We will begin this journey with a unique sunset in Valle de la Luna, a landscape that you will never forget. We will get up early to visit the Tatio Geysers, to witness the impressive spectacle of hot water jets that emerge from the earth and turn into steam. We will also visit Laguna Cejar, where we will enjoy a refreshing swim in the lagoon.

We will continue our journey through the Altiplanic Lagoons and visit towns that have stopped in time. We will end this adventure from the Piedras Rojas Viewpoint, an impressive place that will allow you to appreciate the beauty and immensity of the landscapes of the Chilean highlands.

Like being in the Dead Sea! Due to its high salinity, we will easily float in its waters, which provides a unique bathing experience. Laguna Cejar is surrounded by a desert and saline landscape. The contrast between the turquoise water and the desert environment creates a breathtaking and surreal sight.

Visit to the Ojos del Salar Lagoons

The Ojos del Salar Lagoon is an important habitat for various species of birds, especially flamingos. If we are lucky, we will observe the flamingos in their natural environment.

Visit to the Tebenquiche Lagoon

Laguna Tebenquinche is a salty lagoon, which means that the water contains a high concentration of salt. During the rainy season, the lagoon can fill with water, creating a natural mirror that reflects the sky and the surrounding mountains, creating a spectacular landscape. Watching the sun set from this lagoon, I assure you, will be a unique experience that you cannot let go on your journey.

Visit to the Chaxa Lagoon

The Chaxa Lagoon is a saline water body and is one of the main habitats for birds, especially flamingos. It is known for being home to three species of flamingos: the Andean flamingo, the Chilean flamingo, and the James's flamingo. These birds find in the lagoon an ideal place to feed and rest.

Visit to the Miscanti and Miñiques Altiplanic Lagoons

The Miscanti and Miñiques Lagoons are located approximately 110 kilometers southeast of San Pedro de Atacama, in the Socaire commune. They were formed due to volcanic activity in the area. The Miscanti Lagoon is the largest and is characterized by its intense turquoise color, surrounded by imposing mountains and volcanoes. Laguna Miñiques, for its part, is smaller and is located near the Miñiques volcano, conical in shape and covered with snow in winter. Due to the altitude, it is important to take precautions to avoid altitude sickness.

Visit to the highland town of Socaire

We will travel through time and visit a small and picturesque town with a typical architecture of the region, where adobe buildings and thatched roofs predominate. The town is surrounded by impressive landscapes, with mountains, volcanoes and vast expanses of desert terrain.

Visit to the Piedras Rojas Viewpoint
