Discover one of the most iconic landscapes of northern Chile with the Valle de la Luna Tour in San Pedro de Atacama. Set within the heart of the Cordillera de la Sal, this striking natural setting surprises you with rock formations, dunes, salt caverns and landscapes shaped by millions of years of erosion, creating an environment that echoes the surface of the moon.

During the excursion you'll travel through some of the most representative sectors of the valley, such as the Duna Mayor, the Anfiteatro and various panoramic viewpoints where the desert changes color with the light of dusk. The reddish, golden and orange tones make this one of the most photographed experiences in Atacama.

Thanks to the extreme aridity and the unique geological conditions of the Atacama Desert, Valle de la Luna offers landscapes considered among the most remarkable on the planet, and is one of the essentials for those who visit San Pedro de Atacama.

Ideal for travelers seeking unforgettable landscapes, photography, nature and a first encounter with the Atacama Desert.

Important note – Temporary closure of the Mirador de Ckari

Please note that the Mirador de Ckari, located in Valle de la Luna, will remain closed until June 28, 2026 by order of the competent authorities, with support from SERNATUR.

This measure responds to an extension of the preventive closure to assess the safety conditions of the sector, following the landslide recorded after the strong earthquake that struck the Calama area on May 25, 2026.

The Valle de la Luna Tour will continue operating as usual, although without including the visit to the Mirador de Ckari. We appreciate your understanding and will update this information should any official news arise.
