The town of Machuca Estña is located 80 km north of San Pedro de Atacama.

It's a town that has about 20 houses and a church. It is about 4000 m.a.s.l. and a recommendation is not to get agitated, each house has solar panels, as a means of energy, it is a great opportunity to know how this energy works so expected for the society.

It has pure skies, and it is a great opportunity to photograph in the starry nights since there is a rustic lodging and knowing that the inhabitants are participating to the tourist activity.

It is recommended to visit it and try those sopaipillas of 25 cm in diameter, and taste the typical food of this town.
